A priest too far

Captain Wulfenstern,

my correspondence with you serves two purposes: firstly I wish to congratulate you on the fine job that you have been doing as the League of Stirland, the Elector Count , may Sigmar watch over him, chose well when you were selected to lead the force to be made responsible for ensuring the ascendency of Stirland. Secondly I have received disturbing reports regarding the priest that we previously discussed, whose pro-Talabecland stance has caused some degree of concern. It would seem he has been selected to become elevated to a position far in excess of his talents; he is to become one of the Grand Theoginists advisors. I need not tell you what a disastor this would be for Stirland, should this come to pass, but unfortunately we have progressed beyond the stage where it is possible to prevent this appointment through diplomatic channels.

The Cult of Sigmar has been made aware of a powerful relic that was recently discovered near to the town of Hindelburg in the Blackfire Pass. When the local priest of Sigmar realised what he had found he sent a letter to the his Lector who requested that the relic be sent on to Altdorf for investigation. It transpired that the relic never arrived and indeed, no trace could be found of it ever having been sent. Our vexatious priest has been dispatched to the area to find and retrieve this relic; this provides us with a window of opportunity to deal with him. You are ordered to proceed to Hindelburg to investigate the whereabouts of the relic; should the opportunity arise for you to deal with our problem I suggest that you take advantage of it, however I must emphasise that should anything untoward occur then it is imperative that it not be possible for the blame to be laid at the League of Stirland's, and by extension Stirland itself's, feet.

In the hand of,

Hals von Stalgart, on behalf of

Graf Alberich Haupt-Anderssen, Elector Count of Stirland
