A priest too far

The League assembled and Captain Wulfenstern informed the men that their duty was to ensure that a relic of Sigmar was being adequately protected and, if necessary, lend aid to a priest who who coming to pick it up. We all proceeded to ride down to Hindelburg, where we observed that the town was burning. When our scouts returned they reported that the town was overrun with skaven and there was no sign of the priest.

Captain Wulfenstern ordered us into the town where we fell upon with skaven with such ferocity that those that hadn't fallen before our blades were forced to flee chittering back into the caves above the town. We were chasing into their tunnels when a scout reported that the priest had arrived and was approaching the town. We rushed down to meet him; he didn't seem overly happy to see us and told us that we didn't look very impressive. At the Captain's order we formed up around the priest as a couple of massive Rat Ogre's lumbered towards us.

Despite numerous injuries the Rat Ogres went down beneath glowing hammer and bursts of flame. A large number of skaven formed up at the top of the hill, so the Captain, with a quick glance behind at the priest, ordered the Stirlander's into a shield wall between the skaven and the priest. Captain Wulfenstern had a malicious smile on his face as a black clad Clan Eshin assassin leaped from between the houses behind the priest and gutted him. The priest slumped to the floor and all hell broke loose as the skaven all charged the shield wall and Captain Wulfenstern was forced into a defensive stance as the assassin leapt at him. In the confusion of battle Marwin bent down over the crtically injured priest and slit his throat ensuring that he wouldn't survive.
