Saving the mines

Upon recieving a summons from Captain Vagner the League assembled in the Badlands.

Following Octavinus' inspection and a quick blessing from Sister Jean we proceeded towards the Stirland mines at Kazad Dhrung, where we were to meet and give assistance to the mine master. This throughly unpleasant individual informed us that his mines had been overrun by skaven; he demanded that we find his assistant and cleared the beasts out from his mine out.

We discovered the assistant dead in a skaven trap and upon telling the mine master this he flew into a rage, shouting and swearing at us. Sadly this was too much for the volatile Vonane who gripped his throat and lifted the mine master from this feet, ignoring the pleas of her fellow Stirlander's, before casting his off the edge of the cliff

Vonane in a fit of rage led a small group of Stirlanders down into the mine and attacked the skaven whilst most proceeded down the cliff to check that the mine master was dead. Sister Jean started to pray to Morr but was interrupted by Nerrat who drove his dagger into the head of the corpse before looting everything the mine master had on him. Outraged several Stirlander's berated him most strongly for his lack of respect, but he ignored them stowing the heavy purse he found inside his tunic and reading through the documents that he had found. Nerrat informed the group that the documents included the warrant for the arrest of a mine worker who had run away following the skaven incursion and so, short of any other leads on how to proceed, the group agreed to seek out this man.
